Help for people learning how to use a Media Wiki

A media wiki lets you share information easily - and more importantly - it will allow registered users to easily edit and revise information that's been posted on it.

One of the first steps to being able to use a wiki is to learn its special tags for marking up text. (A wiki uses tags in much the same way that a web page uses tags to tell browsers how to display the page.)
